RB Spa + Beauty is a boutique day spa located along lively and eclectic fourth street, in Long Beach, California. You can find us between Temple and Molino, right next to the city’s favorite farm-to-table eatery, Restauration.

Step in off the busy street (and perhaps, a busy day!) and find tranquility. RB Spa + Beauty was opened by owner and Esthetician, Rebekah Bergstrom, who designed the space to be a clean and elegant environment where the modern woman can find rest, pampering, and services for looking, feeling, and being her best.

Our small staff takes pride in providing the luxury, spa experience in a more personalized, boutique-style setting. On our menu, you’ll find skin and spa treatments, massage therapy, lash extension services, as well as brow shaping and facial waxing. In the shop you’ll find clean, sustainable product lines, Eminence Organic Skincare for your at-home regimen, and a curated collection of goods for healthy and beautiful living.

At RB, you’ll find a professional and caring staff, a holistic approach to skincare, and wellness and beauty as a lifestyle, rather than a sixty-minute service.

We hope to see you in soon!

Rebekah is the founder of this little spa that we all love spending time at. She has been in the industry and working as an Esthetician for over a decade, after graduating from The AVEDA Institute in Seattle, WA, her home town. She has collected experience from working in a handful of spas and salons, but from the beginning, and by beginning, we mean childhood — she has always been an entrepreneur and desired to have her own business. As a creative and a caretaker at heart, she fell in love with the industry, and desired to open a place of not only beauty, but a space of inspiration for life, health, and being the best version of oneself. Outside of the spa, a lot of her time is spent with her husband, her dog, and friends. She is always craving an international trip, loves design, music, and a beautiful, well-orchestrated dinner party.

We'd love to know your story! How did you get started? How did you get to where you are today? What are you most proud of?

my journey into the esthetics and spa realm began back in high school. I wanted to become a makeup artist... it was a creative outlet for me, and back then, working at one of the counters at Nordstrom was the kind of job I was after. I never officially became a makeup artist or got the chance to spend most of my days at Nordstrom, but as I evolved and learned more about myself, I also learned that many in the makeup industry have education in skincare, which led me to exploring what the work of an Esthetician would be like. I learned that the industry fit my strengths perfectly. Along with it suiting the creative that I am, I'm also very much a care-taker and helping someone relax, or boost their confidence, or help them feel healthier and cared for- that really energizes and feeds me. I ended up attending the Aveda Institute in Seattle, WA, where I am from, and ever since I've had a job I've been absolutely in love with. The journey of owning my own shop I feel began long before high school, as I've had an entrepreneurial spirit from a very early age. I've had many businesses since the age of seven ;) Once I began my work as an Esthetician, I knew I wanted to eventually open and run my own spa. It also happens to be that I have a pretty strong will... to a fault at times, but that's where the grit comes in and what I know got me to where I am now. It's been quite a process of working for several other people, to renting that first little treatment room, to finally signing the commercial lease. I've collected a lot of experience and learned quite a bit along the way.

What advice would you give someone wanting to pursue a career similar to yours?

I like the saying, "Feel the fear and do it anyway"... I firmly believe in living without regrets, however, do that with care. Do your research on the industry and business ownership, ask someone to mentor you, talk to people who have taken the path that you are wanting to pursue. Some parts you are just going to learn the hard way, but learning from others who have gone before you, I think that is clutch.

What are the best resources that have helped you along the way?

The support of others is huge. There have been some key people that have inspired, gotten behind me, given advice, been there for me when things have gotten really hard, and have just been so supportive... as I am thinking about those people, I feel deeply thankful.
