Q: Walk us through your story!

A: We are two young mamas who met on an app that’s just happen to have babies 9 days apart and the same style! We say we are “soul mates” as we are exactly the same! Both of us have been passionate about fashion, styling, social media and marketing and thus we created a brand together.

We launched a few simple tye dye products that didn’t get the turn out we expected and took a break and relaunched these custom jackets and the B&T brand was born! We have been most proud looking back on this month!! All the pop ups we have scheduled, getting our brand in stores, getting the brand in dance studios, and a huge influx of orders from a brand rep.

Q: What has been the most rewarding phase of your career?

A: The most rewarding phase of our career is everyday! Getting to take something we live and love and make it a job is so rewarding. Also seeing the brand grow and showing our girls what hard work looks like is so rewarding. We have been doing a lot of orders via dm in the beginning of our brand and it’s hard to want to switch fully to our website as we get to interact with so many different mamas just like us! It’s also so rewarding when people stop to compliment our jackets it’s makes us feel like we’re doing something right!

Q: What do you do for inspiration? Do you ever hit creative roadblocks and how do you overcome them?

A: We find inspiration in our everyday life! Our little babes are our muses and push us to want to come up with products we want for them. As well as taking a walk through a craft store and basically brainstorming anything we can put on a jacket.

Q: Who has been the most inspirational person in my life and at what stage?

A: Our daughters and each-other! Our daughters constantly grow and change and hit new milestones and we grow and change with them! We push one another to be better mamas and business partners and people as well.

Q: What advice would you give someone wanting to pursue a career similar to yours?

A: I’d tell them just jump! We talked about starting a brand and the next day we did! Don’t dip yourself foot in the water work so hard and dive right in! There will never be a perfect time to do it and I’m a year you’ll wish you started now! Believe in your products and your brand.

Q: What are the best resources that have helped you along the way?

A: The best resources would be forsure Instagram and a strong support group. Instagram is an incredible marketing tool and it lets us wear so many hats; model, influencer, photographer, stylist, Influencer and business owner! Without Instagram it would’ve been a challenge to get our business up off the ground. As well as having a support system gives you the tools and motivation to want to be better, to pursue when it gets tough.

Q: What are your top self care routines? A: For us self care can be as simple as going to grab brunch with your best friend. Shopping, making a cheese board, taking photo shoots, scrolling through Instagram and grabbing an iced coffee are part of our busy mama self care.

Q: What is the most challenging part about what you do?

A: The most challenging part is balancing all our roles! As a mama you juggle so much as is and Trinity has another full time job on top of this; so dedicating time and energy to each of our roles in the day is the most challenging.

Brooke and Tate offers custom orders and all of their jackets are hand made and unique.
